Dermatology & Allergy TestingPatients with recurrent skin itching or skin infections may require diet changes, medications and/or allergy testing. Allergy testing may be achieved by a blood test or a skin test. (The latter requires referral to a veterinary dermatologist.) General health blood screens, novel protein diet or hypoallergenic diet trials, skin cytology, and a variety of allergy-focused medications may be the path toward relief from a previously daily routine of chewing and scratching. Please schedule an appointment today if these clinical signs are applicable to your pet.
